A handsome and expertly crafted German violin based on a Guarneri pattern, attributed to Johannes Bruckner. The tone is warm and sweet, with a pure tone, which will be appreciated by a chamber music artist that requires a violin that blends well with collaborators. Beautiful two piece quarter sawn maple back with tight, well-defined grain, descending from treble to bass. The top is of fine to medium grained spruce. Varnish is deep brown-red over golden ground, applied with gentle antiquing.
