A fine example of a Stradivari pattern violin, showing fine work and great attention to detail. This versatile violin has a range of tonal colors, with a soaring brilliant tone. The back is of one piece of fine maple, with medium, pronounced grain, configured slightly diagonally. The top is of medium straight grained spruce. Beautifully shaded antique Italian-style varnish in deep red over a golden ground.

Since graduating with highest honors from the International School of Violinmaking of Cremona, Roberto Collini has established himself in Cremona since 1983. Adding a bowmaker diploma in 1986, Collini is one of Cremona's most respected makers. Continually honing his considerable skills via training with established Italian masters, Collini has become well known for consistently being awarded top prizes in violinmaking competitions over a period of many years.
